In my art, I attempt to turn the familiar into something novel, an invitation to perceive the ordinary as extraordinary. Whether it's the warmth of a sunlit marina or the quiet strength of an aging tractor by a barn, I craft images that beckon viewers to linger, inviting them to get lost in contemplation.

My artistic journey started in my teenage years, took a hiatus for most of my adulthood, and resurfaced at the onset of the pandemic. Amid the chaos, I rediscovered my passion—sketching moments of joy with my children and exploring the intricate details of everyday objects. Painting became a visual mindfulness exercise, a sanctuary of creativity.

I’ve always been drawn in by impressionistic art and consider my technique to be inspired by impressionism. Each piece contains a focal point, while retaining an overall imprecise visual. Colors and techniques act as a filter, empowering viewers to forge their own connections and interpretations.

I gravitate towards shades of black, white, and gray for the depth they bring. Stripping away color leaves behind shadows, textures, and depth that resonate with the essence of the subject.
