Singular subjects

Everyday objects take on greater meaning when tied to a memory, a person, or simply evoke imagination.  This collection includes items that I wanted to preserve for one or all of those reasons.

The beaded purse and glove were my mothers that I discovered after she passed away.  They were from a time in her life before me and that she didn’t talk much about.  When I look at them, I think of my mother as a young woman dressed for an occasion full of anticipation and life.

I hope that the objects and their depictions generate memories or feelings when you look at them too.
